Welcome to your own private island- Djembe Island and Cape Mclear

Teargassed in Malawi

Leaving South Luwanga, I arrived in the town of Chipata around 6:00am, about 20km from the border. Normally, this would be a pretty good time to get a shared taxi or bus to the border, but being in complete travel…

A week in Zambia

Following Victoria Falls and jumping off of the tour, I had originally planned to spend a couple of weeks in Zimbabwe, en route to Malawi. Unfortunately, the situation in Zimbabwe had deteriorated dramatically, with major food shortages, 19 hour rolling…

BORDERLINE CRAZY BLOGGERS

We’re Stephanie Williams and Marieke Gow, two friends brought together by our obsession with travel.  Since we live on opposite sides of Canada, we mainly only see each other during our epic travels. We started this blog in 2014 during our first joint trip (India) as a way to share stories from the road with friends, family and whoever else might be interested.  Since then, we have explored a number of countries together and independently and continue to journal our experiences on the Borderline Crazy Blog.
