A bicycle pace of life: Neil Island

Havelock is known as the party island in the Andaman’s.  It has three places that serve alcohol, along with one other place that has a liquor license three days a week.  And a liquor store that is open in infrequent…

Getting Around India – Transportation Travesties

Getting from point A to point B in India is often half the experience. It’s partly because of the awe- inspiring tableaus of everyday life that sweep past your eyes as you look through the window. Men working in rice…

We fought the lawn and the lawn won

A few days into our stay in Pondicherry, we decided to visit what is known as the international community of Auroville.  About 15km outside of Pondicherry, and beyond the boundaries of the French Union Territory, Auroville is a community of…

Pondering in Pondicherry

After five days of temple touring, moving everyday and attempting to find half decent accommodation (pretty sure Marieke got bed bugs in Tanjore), we were pretty stoked to have allotted five days for Pondicherry, especially since we had a lovely…

Getting Through Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu, the State on the east coast, feels like the real South India.  It’s about as opposite to Goa as you can get.  Gone are the palm tree lined beaches, cheap cold beers, banana pancakes and beach huts, and…

BORDERLINE CRAZY BLOGGERS

We’re Stephanie Williams and Marieke Gow, two friends brought together by our obsession with travel.  Since we live on opposite sides of Canada, we mainly only see each other during our epic travels. We started this blog in 2014 during our first joint trip (India) as a way to share stories from the road with friends, family and whoever else might be interested.  Since then, we have explored a number of countries together and independently and continue to journal our experiences on the Borderline Crazy Blog.
